Farnborough School Vision
FARNBOROUGH SCHOOL VISION
"To be a Learning Community of the Highest Quality, Opportunity and Achievement"
MISSION
To provide each person with successful learning experiences which foster a continuing desire to learn and prepare them for their roles and responsibilities throughout life
By our shared commitment to:
Discover and develop to the full those talents which are unique to each one of us.
Recognise the range of needs which each person will bring and do our best to meet them.
Develop their skills and flexibility to deal with change to become successful future citizens.
Ensure a secure and disciplined environment that constantly stimulates new learning.
Trust, value and support each other and respect our differences.
Provide an education that encourages a sense of purpose, challenge and the desire for life-long learning.
Promote the understanding that we must work together, showing courtesy, care and fair play.
Continuously improve our provision and search for higher standards.
And through our values:
Honesty and Integrity:
By demonstrating honesty and integrity in everything we do, we will help each other to show reasoned judgement and understand the differences between right and wrong
Equal Opportunities:
Our commitment to equal opportunities will underpin all aspects of life in this community
Mutual Respect:
In acknowledging our strengths and weaknesses and by celebrating our differences we will show respect and sensitivity for the rights, needs and feelings of all people.
Responsibility & Ownership:
We will provide opportunities for each individual to increasingly assume responsibility, ownership and a sense of pride in their learning and their school
Support and Teamwork:
We will provide support for each other and will encourage a culture of care and co-operation through teamwork
Recognition & Self Esteem:
By recognising and valuing each contribution and achievement we will develop the highest level of self esteem in each individual
Environment:
We will work together to create a pleasant and stimulating working environment which will enhance our learning and our desire to learn
Aims:
To create a learning environment where the needs of all members of the school community are valued equally, irrespective of age, ability, race, religion, gender or socio-economic factors and to promote equality of opportunity for all.
To provide for all pupils a broad balanced and relevant curriculum appropriate to their individual needs.
To foster a positive ethos in the whole school community through the promotion of self esteem and respect for others.
To provide a learning environment which attempts to realise their full potential.
To maintain or initiate, promote and enhance a positive and lasting partnership between home and school.
To develop and communicate to pupils and parents an explicit policy on pupil attendance which seeks to develop a positive attitude towards encouraging and achieving full school attendance.
To promote, for each pupil, a smooth transition between successive phases of school life, and a continuity in quality of personal welfare and education experience.
To promote effective training for all staff, teaching and non teaching, so that each individual has opportunities to be developed to their full potential.
